BRYSON CITY is a small, mountain town on the Tuckaseigee River in Western North Carolina, with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as its backyard. We have waterfalls, whitewater rafting, hiking trails, biking trails, kayaking, boating, train rides, museums, and great fishing - on Fontana Lake or any number of clear mountain streams.

In town you'll find a variety of restaurants - from fast food to fine dining. Bryson City is a walk-about town with plenty of shops and galleries to entertain you. Of course, you'll want to start your downtown stroll at The Cottage Craftsman.

We are located in the little yellow house by the Bryson City Train Depot, next
door to Smoky Mountain Trains Museum.

Directions: If you are coming to Bryson City on US 74, take the second Bryson City exit (#67). At the offramp, turn North and continue down the hill on Veterans Boulevard to the first traffic light, where you'll turn right onto Main Street.

At the next traffic light, turn left onto Everett Street. (As you turn, the Old Courthouse will be on your right.) Continue on Everett Street across the river and through the traffic light. Take the first right into a parking area at the Bryson City Train Depot. (Do not cross the RR tracks.) The Cottage Craftsman is the little yellow house ahead of you on your right. There is ample parking in front of the shop.

Bryson City is just 3 hours from Atlanta, Charlotte, and Chattanooga; 2 hours from Knoxville and Greenville/Spartanburg; 1 hour west of Asheville, and 20 minutes from Cherokee. We are served by two US Highways – US 74, and US 19.
